Kate Rose Johnson is an author-illustrator and artist. She is from Saco, Maine (you can't get there from here!) and is now based in Seattle, WA.
Kate Rose is seeking representation and she's ready to share a dynamic book dummy, "ONE", about the journey and interdependence of one raindrop. With illustrations that detail the transformative water cycle, each drawing also has its own magical transformation as the story builds. Much like a beloved mentor text, "Round Trip" by Ann Jonas, this book is turned around midway through. The reader finishes "ONE" by revisiting each page, now viewing the illustrations 'upside down'. Hidden images reveal water evaporating, condensing and -- thankfully -- in the end, remembering how to be life-giving rain. Member of SCBWI Memeber of Julie Hedlund's 12 x 12
